Themed Gardens, Part Duex

Ah, meteorological spring is here! And it's supposed to snow tomorrow.  Interesting fact, we have had snow on 8 of the last nine Saturdays.  Tomorrow would be 9 out of 10.  Thought you would want to know.

Anyway, my original themed garden is my rose garden.  As you can see, we put it across the whole front of the house. It's what everybody sees when they drive by.  It started out small, three roses, and has grown to it's current count of  sixteen.

Thirteen Hybrid Tea:  Mr. Lincoln, 2 Olympiad, Double Delight, French Perfume, Tropicana (to be replaced-didn't survive), Princess Diana, Peace, Chicago Peace, Ronald Regan, Pink Promise, Welcome Home and Sterling Silver. Two David Austin English Roses:  Gertrude Jekyll and Graham Thomas. One Red Knockout Rose.

Roses really aren't that hard to grow, they just need time and tlc.  The fertilizer I give them once a month also has bug zapper and disease inhibitor in it.  Occasionally I will still spray for the black spot, but not even that often.

Sterling Silver is the most fragile rose I have.  It's kind of finicky and it's spindly looking, but I love the color!

And we're not really sure what happened to this rose. It's one of the Peace roses.  I think it was the summer we had the drought, but that probably doesn't have anything to do with it.  Just a cool pic!

And just enough of our snow has melted I can finally see both rows of rose bushes.  Hopefully, by the beginning of April, I'll start to see signs of life!

On a side note, it took just 66 days to complete this puzzle.  Wow, seems to have coincided nicely with the sun shining again.  Karma?
